Hilliker Corporation brokers Paul Redel and Patrick McKay represented Winwater in securing a new St. Louis-area location at 2130 Bowles Avenue in Fenton, Missouri. The wholesale distributor signed a long-term lease for the 18,801-square-foot office/warehouse property, situated on approximately two acres. Plans are underway for a build-out of the space as the company establishes its St. Louis operations.
The expansion marks a new chapter for both Winwater and R.J. Taylor, who previously worked with K.C. Winwater in the Kansas City market. After contributing to the company’s growth there, Taylor relocated to St. Louis to lead the development of St. Louis Winwater, bringing his experience with the company and the waterworks industry to a new market.Winwater is a wholesale distributor of waterworks supplies,
including pipe, valves and fittings for sanitary sewer and storm sewer applications. Part of the Winsupply family of companies, the new St. Louis operation will extend the company’s presence across Missouri and provide a local resource for contractors throughout the region.
Finding the right property was an important part of establishing that presence. The Fenton location provides the combination of warehouse, office and land needed to support distribution operations today, with room to accommodate the company’s long-term plans in the market.
For Redel and McKay, the assignment paired deep knowledge of the St. Louis commercial and industrial market with an understanding of what a company entering a new market needs from its real estate. McKay brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to the team, while Redel’s background in leasing and focus on helping companies achieve their growth goals added another perspective to the search. Together, the Hilliker brokers helped Taylor and the Winwater team identify a location that supports both the launch of the St. Louis operation and its future growth.
